Ramanagara (KA), May 6 (PTI) A local court today rejected the bail application of self-styled godman Nityananda Swami embroiled in an alleged sex scandal.
Ramanagara Sessions Court Judge C G Hugund rejected Nityananda's bail plea considering the "seriousness and magnitude of the charges against him".
Nityananda, who was arrested in Solan in Himachal Pradesh on April 21 on criminal charges including rape, was remanded to judicial custody till May 13 by the same court on April 30.
The self-styled godman landed in a controversy in March after TV channels aired video footage purportedly showing him in an objectionable position with a Tamil actress.
Hello devotees! We understand that having sex is not scandal, But claiming 'bramachariyam' front of devotees and having sex behind the curtain is scandal. Now, tell your swami to marry Ranjitha and have kids and enjoy the family life. Ask him to get a real job, bring up the kids. Love the family, make jokes, laugh like regular human without faking like God. That is spiritual! That is fulfillment! .Please underrrrstand... ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean by marrying Ranjitha. Swamiji is already married !! In the Gandharva philosophy, marriage starts in the bed. Did Swamiji not show all of us his suhag-raat?
ReplyDeleteWell that's true. If one can live a simple fulfilled life, that's enlightenment. These fake Swami's will just destroy you. You will not be able to live any life with happiness and contentment, you will always go on seeking for something which you can ever or never get.
ReplyDeleteafter this scandal only we came to know true nature of swamiji.he is liar.he know how to handle human mind.he uses two tools to get his work done.these are fear and greed.after this scandal he is saying dont say bad to me,u will increase ur karma(this is fear),next he says if u accept me as i m u will get enlightenment(this is greed).now onwards people must keep their eyes open and take decision.dont fallow him blindly.indian society never accept the thing which he done before marriage.u can read his books ,discourses for knowledge,but dont give him respect like god.god is god only.giving support to him means giving support to his bad deeds.by supporting swamiji we r giving wrong messege to society.
ReplyDeleteOne of his female ashramites tried creating a misunderstanding between me and my would be hubby. She fell on her head. These people have already left their family and their agenda is that others' families are also destroyed. She wanted my family - my would be hubby to leave me and become ashramite like her. This clearly somehow means to me that she wanted some relation with him. This is the nature of his ashramites. I just hate this ashram and the swami. I pray they all perish from our lives and never seen again. I will pray that Nithyananda gets punsihed severly for his deeds, so that other fake swamis also learn a lesson.
