Nithyananda has been sacked as the successor to a 1500-year-old Mutt in Madurai. Nithyananda was sacked by a senior pontiff and is facing criminal charges including rape after a US-based woman and others alleged sexual exploitation.
Nithyananda was appointed as the successor at the Madurai Mutt in April but his appointment had received widespread criticism, including from the Tamil Nadu government. Nithyananda's own ashram is located in Bangalore, where it was alleged that he sexually harassed a few women.
These days ,devotees like his holiness Ramanujachraya , Adishankracharya or Madhavacharya etc are rare to found . So spiritually curious person must trust upon the original scriptures and teachings of the authentic spiritual masters and better not to be initiated or follow today's SWAMIS .
Well done - it is better to be late than never. This move should not have been taken place at all. The Government should ensure that such Nityanands are not able to befool the innocent people there and exploit them for any unlawful activities.
Iam not a fan of Nithyanandha. Everyday, what we see was, more dirty Dynasty Politics in Central and State Govt. But In country like the USA, there was only two Parties (Republic and Democrat) There is healthy debate and people choose their leaders according to their ability. Here in India, hundreds of Parties and everywhere chaos. When we point out Nithyananda as bad, what about our country politics? Only God has to Save us all from these elements.
first of all remove the word godman for all these saintly -robed men . what is the underhand dealing between this aruna giri-avaricious and nithya-nuisance and why such reluctance to sack him and why seeking police protection...? all mysterious.
